They are indicative and confirmed at booking – floors without a lift, long carrying distance, restricted truck access or extra labour may add charges. Intercity moves are quoted per route. Crockery and glass are wrapped piece by piece in bubble wrap and packed upright in strong cartons. Sofas, mattresses and polished furniture are covered with blankets and stretch film; beds and wardrobes are dismantled by our carpenter and fixed again at the new home.
LED TVs, fridges, washing machines and ACs are packed and loaded upright. Every carton is labelled with its room, so unloading and setting is quick. Read our damage claim policy – insurance can be arranged for valuable items.
Moving with children, elders and pets
Moving day is busy and noisy. If possible, let children and elders spend it with relatives, or set up one quiet room with snacks, water and chargers.
Pack a bag for each child with clothes, a favourite toy and school things for the first days. Keep elders’ medicines with you, not in the vehicle.
Pets get stressed by strangers and open gates – keep them in a carrier or a closed room until the team has left.
Booking and payment terms
The price is fixed after a free survey, on site or by video call, and shared on WhatsApp in writing. It includes the vehicle, driver, labour and, for the with-packing option, packers and packing material.
A small advance confirms the date, and the balance is paid after the move, in cash or by bank transfer. There are no extra charges on the day unless you add items or services.
If you need to change the date, tell us at least a day before and we will move the booking at no cost.
Mistakes that make shifting expensive
The most common mistake is underestimating the amount of goods. If the vehicle is too small, a second trip is needed, which costs more than booking the right size at the start.
Not mentioning upper floors without a lift, a long walk from the gate or special items like a piano or safe also causes surprises on the day. Share these at the survey and they are included in the price.
Booking at the last minute at month-end, when most leases end, leaves fewer choices. Booking a few days earlier gives you your preferred date and time.
Best time to shift in Karachi
Month-end and the first days of the month are the busiest because most rental agreements change then. Mid-month and mid-week dates are easier to book.
In summer, start early in the morning to avoid the afternoon heat; in the monsoon keep a little extra time and make sure the vehicle is fully covered. The sea breeze in Karachi makes winter and early mornings the most comfortable time to move, and heavy traffic on Shahrah-e-Faisal and University Road is best avoided at rush hour.
During Ramadan we plan the work in the morning so the team finishes before iftar, and before Eid it is best to book a week ahead.
